Kim Q Ringtones

I'm watching the MTV Awards and contemplating.

I just talked to Kim. We had a few practice sessions planned for the summer. But she never came through. She told me that she would be coming up in mid August to spend the whole weekend here to get everything together. She never came, and she never called. Two weeks later, she called talking about all of the things that she went through.

I've never doubted that Kim has a lot of things going on. but who doesn't? The bottom line is that to make it in this biz, you have to have more than just desire. you have to have commitment - at least some!

Then two weeks ago she called me saying that we should play at an open mic at a church in Philadelphia, but that we couldn't curse. If any of you out there have seen Rare Heat live, you know that we are a lot of things - but not a clean act. We have no clean songs.

I just told her on the phone that we have no clean songs and that we couldn't do this, and I wasn't gonna drive all the way to Philly just to play an open mic - where we wouldn't even have anything to play.

Kim was just telling me that she has no time to wait - and that we should start making ringtones. Kim is very high on ambition but low on reality. And its possibly that I'm a bit older and more crotchety.

The fact is there hasn't even been a RAre Heat for almost two years and its just been dying a slow death. But people still love "Friend of Mine" and I'll see what I can do.

Last week I recorded two awesome slow songs with Indy. It came out really well and my voice sounded damn good. He gets back next week.
